Stand up

Humans, we tend to drown in an ocean of responsibility
having nothing in our hands but the broken shards of promises
that cut so deeply, the veins of dedication refuse to pump blood
we all have been there, in that ocean
where there is no land in sight
nor boat
nor plank
just when you think, you should give up
and leave yourself adrift while lying on your back
awaiting everything that comes at you
and release your grip
and have whats left of you drift and sink
stop
take a deep breath
you're body is yet another corpse in the fountain of misfortune
where its a beast with slimy tentacles
waiting to pull you down
into the darkness
much darker than a moonless night
get up
shake that water away
tell it to piss off
and give it the finger
because you aren't meant to drown
you aren't meant to carry that weight of the world
carry your own weight
and left your friends carry the rest
do you think you are alone?
that's impossible
what you are reading right now
is not a demand, nor a command
it's simply a plea
because once you stop swimming and staying afloat
who shall take your place on your righteous throne?
what is said here is not meant for the public, nor the media
it is simply a message to those
who are lost at sea
and need the single flicker of the faithful shining ray
to show you the rough rocks
that threaten to injure you
and your leg
but worry not because even with injury, you will live
and living, it's a blessing no god can take away from you
you are the master of your own body and mind
swim
move your arms as hard as you can
don't sink, dont drown
and find me, for ill be waiting on the end
and dry you off with a towel, and laugh with you on your victory
of being the only living soul in a sea of corpses
